I think a white t-shirt is probably my favorite item of clothing behind a great pair of jeans. I even wrote a post about this important wardrobe staple here. There are so many variations of a basic white tee, and I always feel classy and put together when I wear one. Funny, since it’s so simple, but I think that’s what I like about it! I bought this white ruffle shirt because I thought it would be perfect for spring.
This particular white ruffle shirt came from Nordstrom during the recent winter sale. It was inexpensive and is now sold out, but thankfully, ruffles are everywhere this season! I’ve found some lovely alternatives for you to check out below.
Because the ruffle details make this shirt look fancier than a plain t shirt, you could easily pair this with slacks and wear it to work. I chose jeans because, let’s face it, that’s what I wear 99% of the time. I like skinny jeans with this top to help balance out the volume of the ruffles. Speaking of jeans, I’m getting ready to order from Trunk Club again and I challenged my stylist to send me some date night outfits that don’t involve jeans or dresses. Ha! I’m excited to see what she comes up with.
I bought these yellow mules last fall after agonizing over whether to buy yellow or pink. Both are so cute! Nordstrom replenishes the stock on these shoes often, and they come in many different colors and fabrics (both leather and suede). My last pair of yellow flats met their untimely death after a trip to Paris because I simply walked too much in them. Oops. I’ve been wanting another pair since that happened and am happy to have found these!
My Friday night is likely going to consist of eating takeout in front of the TV with the boys since my husband is out of town. Exciting stuff, I tell you! What are your weekend plans?
