This is my best attempt at a summer outfit on a chilly day. I figured that if I pulled out my denim mini skirt, I could pretend that the weather is warming up. After we took these photos, I changed into jeans and a t-shirt to play tennis with the boys. I was freezing! I’m sure in July when it’s sweltering here, I’ll be missing these days. In the meantime, I’m kinda over it. Over.it.
This white peasant blouse is the perfect transitional piece. It’s light and flowy and would work on a hot day, but the three quarter sleeve will protect you from the breeze on a cooler day. My favorite part is the banded hem at the bottom with the rainbow stripes! Such a fun detail. The top is from Chloe Oliver’s summer collection and it’s online online in black (which is super cute!!). My Marc Fisher wedges are currently on sale! Run! I snagged mine at Nordstrom Rack, but there are three colors available on the Marc Fisher website. These have been popular for a couple of years and I can understand why! The wedge is high but so is the platform, which means they are super comfy to walk in. The ankle strap helps with comfort and stability too.
Tonight I’ll be celebrating my birthday with takeout, baseball, and open house at school. In fact, you may see me at the field in this white peasant blouse, jeans, and tennies! It would have been fun to go out to dinner with the boys at our favorite pizza place, but that will have to wait. It’s a good excuse to extend the celebration, right?!
