I have to admit, I was underwhelmed when I got to my store on Wednesday because they didn’t have a lot of the items on my wishlist (saved in this blog post) and it seemed like overall, they had less stock than last year. But then I dived in and was pleasantly surprised at what I found! Here are three outfits I love from the 2024 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, along with a few honorable mentions. š
This black jacket is so cute in person! It also comes in a nice army green. I love the shorter length; that feels a lot more versatile here in California. The tank underneath is actually a bodysuit and is a little more fitted than I would usually wear (I sized up to a medium), but at $22 I figured it would be a good layering piece. The jeans are unfortunately mostly sold out, although I did link the exact pair for reference. I feel like any pair of slim flares would be cute here. Loving this Paige option too…
The flats were an unexpected surprise! I haven’t worn Nordstrom brand shoes before and they are great quality for the price. Very comfortable and true to size. I love the slightly square toe! They also come in a few other colors.
GRAPHIC TEE | PANTS | SNEAKERS or HERE
These cargo pants were another unexpected winner! They weren’t on my radar until I saw them in the store. At under $40, they great alternative to jeans. Unfortunately they are currently sold out, but I hope the basic outfit inspiration is helpful: graphic tee (exact one linked here), sneakers, and cargo pants. Layer on a jean jacket and you’re ready for fall! I orderedĀ this pairĀ of PacSun cargos as well they are fully stocked.
The shoes are sold out in a lot of sizes at Nordstrom but available at Nike. If you’re a Nike member (which is free and gives you free shipping/free returns), they are fully stocked and on sale for just $52 right now!
This is the epitome of a fall outfit formula. Start with a sleeveless or short sleeved top, add a light jacket, and finish with jeans and booties. The burgundy top in the photo sold out quick but it’s worth stalking or buying at full price after the sale. It has ruching on the side and is so flattering! But any top would work for this look. The jeans are the same Mother pair from my first photo. This was the only pair from my wishlist in store, hence I wore them in a lot of the photos. The booties were cute, but I didn’t love them enough to justify the price.

I love this cotton Madewell sweater and these darling Steve Madden Mary Jane mules. I recommending sizing up half a size in the shoes. The sweater also comes in ivory, and the shoes are available in several colors. The jeansĀ are mine from the 2021 sale (thanks to old blog posts, this is easy to confirm!). They are still available at Nordstrom here or here without the distressing… tempting.
These Free People corduroy flares come in two colors and are fully stocked. Did I mention they have an elastic waistband?? My top comes in three colors and is made from the softest fabric. The Adidas are sold out but honestly any sneaker would work with this look. I didn’t wind up bringing the shoes home because I wasn’t convinced they would go with enough outfits. I am keeping an eye on neutral Gazelles from the sale (also found here but not on sale) as I feel like I’ll get more wear out of those than something pink.
