We had a great time in our local Turkey Trot this morning. Two years ago, my youngest still needed to be pushed in the stroller, but this year, he wanted to do the race on his own and he did great! My husband and older son took off and maintained a faster pace, whereas my little guy and I mostly walked with occasional jogging. But we did it! It was a beautiful day, lots of people were out, and the energy was great. I’m glad that this has become part of our Thanksgiving tradition. The funniest part of the race for me was when two women stopped me on the course to ask where I got my sunglasses. One of them even took a picture so she could try to find them later!
A few friends came over for a midday meal and then we spent the rest of the afternoon together. Since it was a small group, we all fit at our dining room table. I found the prettiest flower arrangement at Trader Joe’s and it was the perfect centerpiece! The day was relaxing and fun.
