You may recognize this striped sweater from my Nordstrom spring fashion post. I was drawn to the stripes, but my favorite feature of this sweater is the bows in the back! The feminine details that are popular this season are so fun. This sweater is available in a few solid colors as well as the striped (loving the pink!). I don’t own any striped sweaters currently, so I thought this would be a good addition to my wardrobe.
I love pairing a feminine top with distressed denim. It’s a nice balance of pretty and edgy. Perhaps edgy is a bit of overstatement, but you get my point. Ha. I bought these blue wedges from J Crew Factory a couple of years ago, so unfortunately they are sold out. I linked a similar pair below. The outfit would be cute with tennies for a more casual look. For spring, this sweater will be perfect with white jeans.
This week has been an absolute blur, and next week is shaping up to be just as busy! In the midst of touring middle schools for our eldest, I’ve been volunteering more than usual at the elementary school this week. I know that middle school will be a bit different in terms of how much I can be involved, so I want to take advantage of every opportunity to volunteer now while both of my boys are at the same school. It’s definitely going to be bittersweet when they aren’t together anymore.
We are sneaking away for a two night getaway this weekend. I am so excited, although I have a lot to cross off my to do list between now and then! It always takes time to prepare for someone else to care for your kids, but I am grateful that my in laws are willing and able to come take care of the boys. In the midst of this busy season, it will be such a welcome break to have a weekend away with my husband!
What do you have planned for the weekend?
