Now that the weather is cooperating and spring is officially upon us in California, I can’t wait to schedule a date night just so I have a reason to take a break from my everyday mom uniform! Don’t let the title of this post lead you astray though. These spring date night outfit ideas would also work for Easter brunch, a wedding or baby shower, dinner with friends… the possibilities are endless!
A great dress
This ruched dress from Leith is a reader favorite, and I can see why! It comes in tons of colors, is universally flattering, and can be worn alone when it’s hot and layered under a cute moto or cardigan when it’s not. Plus, although jeans are my favorite thing to wear on a daily basis, I really love the opportunity to get a little fancy now and then!
A gorgeous shift dress is another winner for date night. Shift dresses, like the ruched dress above, are flattering and easy to wear. You can add heels for a dressy look, or wear it with flip flops and a denim jacket to the park!
A floral top
As soon as I got this floral top from Stitch Fix, I knew it would be perfect for spring! The pale lavender color is right on trend, and I love how it looks with white jeans. While this top could easily be worn with shorts and flat sandals for running errands, I’ve paired it with heels for a dressier look. I own these heels in two colors because they are so comfortable and versatile!
Classic black
Can you have too many black tops?! Asking for a friend. This sleeveless black top is from the Gibson International Women’s Day collection at Nordstrom. I’m obsessed with the eyelash detailing and the lace trim! Gibson always has quality pieces at a great price point. I went with basic blue skinny jeans, but you could also pair this top with colored or white denim for a fresh look! My wedges come in many colors – the red or yellow would add a fun pop of color to this outfit!
Similarly, this black cold shoulder top paired with strappy heels is dying to be worn out to dinner!
Jumpsuit
If you’ve followed me for a while, you may know I have an affection for jumpsuits. And stripes. And blue and white… how cute is this striped jumpsuit for spring?! It’s from last season, but I found some crazy cute options that are linked below. In fact, I’m adding one of them to my cart right now!
I have to also include this black knit jumpsuit, because, as discussed above, black is always a good idea! I probably wouldn’t choose this for a spring daytime event, but it would be so good for a dinner out or party. You can see other ways I styled this jumpsuit in this post.
Which is your favorite of these spring date night outfit ideas?
