When I took these pictures, it was scorching. A few short days later, it’s breezy and feels like fall. However, the Bay Area typically has one final heat wave in late September/early October, so I’m betting I’ll get a few more wears out of this sleeveless floral top!
I found this sleeveless floral top at Nordstrom and immediately fell in love with the print and colors. The keyhole back is a cute detail and I love that no racerback bra is required. However, when I first got the shirt, it was SO LONG on me. Literally. I could have belted it and worn it as a dress. Well maybe not, but you definitely couldn’t see my shorts underneath it, which is not ideal. I was going to return it, but then I remembered that Nordstrom offers free alterations to its cardholders. Sold! When the tailor came in to meet with me, her first comment was how long the shirt was. Thankfully, it was an easy fix! It’s still long enough to front tuck if I want to, but it doesn’t look sloppy untucked.
I have two pairs of AG raw hem jeans that are very similar, one with distressing and one without. I chose the distressed pair in this case because I like the contrast of the edgy with the feminine top. This sleeveless floral top would also look great with dark skinnies. Paired with slacks or khakis, it would be a versatile piece for the office too! The neckline is perfect to showcase my Kendra Scott color bar necklace. You can also button it all the way up if you prefer.
You may have noticed that I chose off white wedges to go with a white top. Just call me a fashion rebel! Ha. I think that mixing neutrals keeps your look fun and fresh. For cooler weather, my navy espadrille wedges and a blazer would turn this into a perfect fall look.
This past Saturday my older son had two soccer games! Yay us. Actually, the weather was perfect and it was nice to enjoy the time outside. Thankfully my little one doesn’t start his soccer class until next weekend, so we were all able to attend both games. Besides that, we didn’t have a lot of plans which is just the way I like my weekends to be!
