I thought long and hard about what kind of outfit to feature today since I haven’t done an outfit post in a few weeks. In the end, it seemed appropriate that I choose an outfit full of my faves: great jeans, a graphic tee, and pink Converse. School is back in session and while I love to dress up when I can, my everyday look is usually some variation of this outfit. It’s easy, cute, and comfy.
This may or may not be my fourth pair of Converse Shoreline slip ons. Hahaha. The first pair is quite old and I really only wear them to and from the barre studio or to the park with the boys, so that doesn’t count, right?! 😉 My wearable pairs are white and blue. When I saw this pair of pink Converse in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I couldn’t resist! I actually ordered this pair of leather Chuck Taylors as well. They are super cute and I like that they are leather so you can easily clean them up. In the end, though, convenience won out and I kept the slip on pair.
The color of this graphic tee from J.Crew isn’t one I would normally gravitate towards, but how perfect is it with the shoes? Yes, I chose the shirt because of the shoes. Please tell me I’m not the only one who has done this! This shirt would be cute under a blazer (see an example here) with heels for date night, but it’s perfect with jeans and tennies too!
Tonight we are going to back to school night for our younger son, and the one for the middle school is next week. Is it sad that I can’t wait to get dressed up and out of the house?! Since we have to get a sitter, we are pretending it’s a date night and plan to grab dinner afterward. So yes, I’ll be that 2nd grade mom sitting at a tiny desk in heels. Or pink Converse. 😉 We’ll see how the day goes!
