At the risk of sounding like a blogging dork, I think this post is the one I’ve most been looking forward to this past year! We were in Spain last year for most of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and although I published a few posts with my favorite picks, I didn’t get to go in and try things on. This year, I was so excited to be able to do so! If you didn’t see my try on videos last night in stories, you can find them in the NSale highlights on my instagram account. Sit tight, grab some coffee, and let’s get started on my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dressing room selfies! For a complete list of all my picks, don’t miss this post!
This top is by Something Navy. My store had it in black and white, but there’s grey and pink online also. Such a great twist on a basic tee! These jeans were one of the two pairs I bought at the sale. Love the wash and the fit. AG does not disappoint!
I wanted to love these Rag and Bone jeans but for some reason the back pocket on these is huge and wasn’t flattering on my rear. A lot of their styles have changed to a smaller pocket, and I wish they would do that for these! I do like that they are longer than the AGs above.
They didn’t have my size in these (I’m squeezed into a 25 here) but I like them enough that I might order my size. I’m usually a 27, but my sales associate and I agreed I should size down to a 26 because they are so stretchy. Super comfy!
This is a cashmere sweater at a great price point. And isn’t the color amazing? There are others too if you don’t love blue as much as I do. 😉 These jeans are Wit and Wisdom, which are supposed to do amazing things for your waistline at the great price point of just $52! I was impressed for the price, and I like the color.
I left this top at the store because I wasn’t sure if the colors worked for me, but now I’m having buyer’s remorse! Figures. These jeans are Frame. I’d never tried this brand before but found three pairs that I really liked and fit well.
This sweater is a BP basic that comes in a ton of colors and is less than $30. The quality isn’t amazing, as you’d guess from the price, but I like investing in a couple of these each year. The price allows me to rotate frequently which is fun as styles change. My jeans are Frame again.
I am severely lacking in the skirt department right now, and this one just screams fall! Comes in grey too. I’m wearing my normal size 27 and couldn’t zip it all the way up, so I’d say size up.
I was so bummed that this was the only color option for this sweater because I love the style and fit so much! Imagine my delight when a sweet follower messaged me to say that it actually comes in two other colors! I ordered the pale pink today. These jeans are my go to faves, AG raw hem skinny. I didn’t get them because I chose two different styles, but I probably will end up buying them eventually. They tend to be the ones I reach for every day.
This cute J.Crew sweater is a version of their popular Tippi style. I like the colors and of course the stripes. Duh.
This sweater comes in several colors and will be a great staple for fall. I also ordered it in oatmeal leopard.
I like this floral top because it’s so versatile, and it can be worn now! It would be good for work or casual.
This is a super inexpensive fun layering piece. It’s good on its own or could be worn under a blazer for work. It comes in several colors.
This floral top is another one that works now and later. I loved it underneath the Blank NYC jacket shown below.
I’m pretty sure my husband will roll his eyes when he sees this considering how many blue and white tops I have. It was too cute to leave behind! I knotted it for a different look but you could also do a front tuck.
I envision this for the office but I also thought it looked adorable with jeans! Great colors.
Rails flannels are the best – so so soft and good quality. A bunch of colors are included in the sale but this was the only one I saw in my store.
Topshop can always be counted on for a cute cardigan! I like the side splits on this one. It’s warm but not aggressively so. It comes in a few colors but I love this one for fall.
This Madewell cardigan is predicted to sell out quickly, and I’m betting that’s true! The colors are so good for fall.
Give me all the leopard. This one is BP and so warm! Love.
This cutie is from J.Crew and would be perfect for a day to night look. I love it with jeans but it would be sharp with black slacks and a cute cami underneath.
This Blank NYC coat comes in two colors. Love the length!
This Kut from the Kloth coat is a best seller every year but this was my first time trying it! I’m so impressed with the quality! This one came home with me.
This coat makes me smile but I don’t think I’d wear it enough living in sunny California… sad!
This coat is fleece lined which is such a nice feature!
Caslon is good at these blazer/sweatshirt hybrids and this piece is no exception! Such a great price.
I think this skirt would be better with a more fitted top but I just couldn’t get enough of the color! So gorgeous.
This leopard dress was such a fun surprise! I love this open front coat too – such beautiful lines.
I could not decide between the black and the brown in these comfy mules, so I brought home both for further consideration. Then I found them in a spotted calf hair. Dilemma solved! Best of both.
Steve Madden made a mule version of this last year, but I like the flats so much better. Obsessed with this mustard color for fall!
These were an impulse try on as they were all over social media last year. A couple other brands make the too, but I didn’t think I would like them. I put them on and couldn’t believe how cute they were! These came home with me too. Update: these were in the sale section by mistake and are actually full price. However, that means you don’t have to have early access to shop them. This year’s version is included in the sale and you can find them here.
If you’re still reading, thanks for hanging in there!! I’ve got another post coming with my top picks from each category, since there’s inventory online that wasn’t available in my store. I hope you find these Nordstrom Anniversary sale dressing room selfies helpful as you shop! Feel free to ask me any questions about fit or sizing!
