The warmer weather we’ve been having lately has me so excited for spring! Do you see all those blossoms on the ground? Apparently the trees around here haven’t gotten the memo that it’s still winter! Bring on the pastel colored clothes, white shoes, and sunshine! I’ve had this Lush tunic in my closet for a couple of years now. Any garment that has more than 3000 four star reviews is worth trying out, don’t you think? This Lush tunic is so popular that Nordstrom keeps bringing it back each year. This year’s version is longer than mine, which I think I would like. And did I mention it’s on sale for just $28?!
I love the roll tab sleeve and the split neckline. I have worn this without a cami underneath and it is fine, but I opted for the cami here so that I didn’t have to worry about whether the shirt was positioned correctly during the photo shoot. A white cami would have been cuter since I’m wearing white shoes, but I couldn’t find it. Oops. But the nude blends in nicely and you don’t notice it, so maybe that’s better anyway.
I paired this tunic with my favorite jeans du jour (remember when I agonized about whether or not to keep them?!) but one of the things I like about this shirt is that you could dress it up if you wanted to. Paired with black jeans, heels, and a statement necklace, I would be ready for a night out! Since this year’s version of the tunic is longer, I would also love to wear it with my faux leather pants from this post.
Can we talk about my $23 shoes from Target?! I had my eye on a similar black pair with fur lining, but I decided that those wouldn’t be wearable for too much longer and that a pair without fur would be better for spring. Generally speaking, I don’t buy shoes from Target. I decided a few years ago that comfort was more important than price. However, this particular pair gets excellent reviews. I don’t see myself wearing these for more than a season or two, so I didn’t want to make a big financial investment. So far so good! They are comfy and cute.
We are hoping to visit my family in a couple of days while the boys are out of school. We also want to have some play dates with friends and do some fun things around here to take advantage of the break. Here’s hoping for a healthier end to the week!
