I feel like I have said this many, many times recently, but I found this shirt when I was shopping at the mall on my birthday. The thing about doing most of my shopping online is that there’s no joy in walking from rack to rack and seeing all the pretty things. So when I get a couple of uninterrupted hours to do so, I’m like a kid in a candy store! I didn’t actually buy this geo lace top that day though. My birthday was just days before Memorial Day weekend, and as any savvy shopper knows, the whole world is on sale during a holiday weekend! The regular price of this top is $58 and I picked it up for 40% off.
This geo lace top is from Banana Republic and it comes in black and white. Since I ordered online, I ordered both so that I could decide which one to keep! I mean, that’s pretty much the best thing about online shopping. Well, except that you have to package up the returns. But whatever. Worth it! I love the black too but the white is more fun for spring and summer. This lace top would be perfect with cutoff shorts and flip flops for a beachy look.
My friend suggested pairing this top with my green jeans and I think it is the right call! I mean blue jeans go with anything, literally, but who doesn’t love a fun pop of color for spring? And yes, I know that summer is just a couple of days away. Colored jeans are perfect for summer too! You can see how I styled these jeans for a more casual look here.
These Sam Edelman wedges were an impulse buy when they were (temporarily) marked down at Nordstrom a few weeks ago. I have worn them to so much already! The heel height is reasonable, they are comfortable, and the color goes with anything. Although I didn’t specifically need them to fill a hole in my shoe collection, I love them and am so happy with the purchase! And besides, I think we can all agree that need shouldn’t be the only factor in determining whether to buy a pair of shoes. Ha! Hopefully my husband isn’t reading this… 😉
We started the weekend with a fun backyard barbecue with friends and ended it listening to bluegrass at a local restaurant to celebrate my husband on Father’s Day. It was perfect. I’m excited to see my dad later this week and celebrate him too!
