I’ve always considered myself to be a fashion rebel. But then I realized it’s actually not rebellious at all to wear white jeans after Labor Day. In fact, it’s a darn good idea, so I’m going to show you three examples of how to wear white jeans after Labor Day!
1. Dressed up for a holiday or date night
If you’ve followed me for a hot second, you know my love for blue jeans. But sometimes, an event calls for more than just a pair of your favorite midwash denim. What I love about white jeans is that they make you look a lot fancier without having to wear a skirt or a dress! Black pants would do the same, of course, but I like the unexpectedness of white in fall or winter.
This navy velvet blazer is from J.Crew. I haven’t worn a lot of blazers in the past few years because they always remind me of practicing law. However, I don’t think anyone would expect to see me in a courtroom wearing velvet! Ha. This year’s version has a button and comes in many beautiful colors besides navy. How pretty is the forest green?!
2. Winter whites
This might be my favorite example of how to wear white jeans after Labor Day simply because each of these pieces is among my closet favorites. I bought this sweater in July and have been waiting for the day when I could wear it. It is so, so cozy. It comes in a few colors but the ones that seem to be in stock the most are this ivory and dark charcoal grey. The stock fluctuates a lot though, so keep checking if you can’t find your size!
Although I could have finished off this look with my favorite taupe booties, I love the addition of the snakeskin to add just a bit of visual interest. Add a cute colored clutch and a dangly earring and you’re ready for a night out!
3. Paired with anything chambray
If jeans are my favorite item of clothing, it’s a logical leap that I’m here for an all denim outfit. A chambray shirt is a wardrobe staple because it goes with literally anything. You can wear it alone, layer it over a shirt or cami, under a sweater… the options are endless! If you live someplace colder, this camel coat would complete the outfit beautifully!
I wore my snakeskin booties because they are my new obsession, but the great thing with a neutral color palette is that you could pair a variety of shoes with this look. I recently purchased these taupe heels from Amazon and they would look cute with this outfit! I’d also love this look with leopard or yellow flats.
Which look is your favorite? I hope this post on how to wear white jeans after Labor Day has inspired you to be a rebel too! 😉
