It’s been a pretty crazy week with things pulling me in different directions. There’s something so restorative about sunshine and warmth in the midst of stressful times. This gingham shirt is perfect for the gorgeous days we’ve been having! It takes a lot for me to keep a shirt that requires ironing, but the plaid pattern and bright colors convinced me it’s worth it. Seriously though, why is ironing so hard?!
I chose these jeans because they are a boyfriend fit, which is a bit looser than a skinny jean. Practically speaking, they are better for warmer weather because of the fit and the holes! Ha. I intentionally wore these when I saw my dad a couple of days ago because I know he finds the distressed denim trend perplexing and he likes to tease me about them. You can also see how I styled these jeans for a trip to San Diego here.
Although my Marc Fisher wedges aren’t an exact color match for the gingham shirt, I love the pop of color they add to this outfit. I wasn’t sure that the peach would be a versatile choice when I bought these shoes, but I actually think they are neutral enough to go with almost anything. I’ve read many reviews about how comfortable they are in spite of the high heel. Because the platform is also high, they are really easy to walk in. I’m a believer!
One of the highlights of my week was getting to sit outside at my son’s baseball game last night. It’s so reassuring to have normalcy in the midst of craziness, isn’t it? We have basketball and baseball this weekend, in addition to Easter. I’m looking forward to a quieter couple of days with family, and then there’s just one more week until spring break! Hurray!
