Bell sleeves have been a popular trend this year, and I for one am a big fan. Imagine my delight when I discovered the short sleeved version, aka the flutter sleeve! I found this flutter sleeve shirt at J.Crew Factory, and I thought it was a fun twist on an otherwise basic t-shirt. I wasn’t sure that I’d like where the sleeve hit on my arm, but it turned out to be pretty cute! The flutter sleeve shirt comes in solids as well as stripes. It’s hard for me to resist a good stripe!
Remember when I was searching for the perfect pair of cranberry colored jeans? I tried one pair from Stitch Fix (here) and other pair from Nordstrom (here) and didn’t love either of them. One day on a whim, I did a google search for my favorite denim brand, 7 for All Mankind. I found this pair marked down to just $53! Considering the original price tag was nearly $200, I ordered them as fast as I could pull out my credit card! One of the links below is just $44 for the same pair, with many sizes still available. As with all 7s, they fit perfectly in my usual size and they are so soft, stretchy, and comfortable. Sometimes, it’s best to stick with what you know works for you!
These wedges are a few years old but I thought they’d be a cute finish to this outfit. They are a bit more ivory than my shirt, but I don’t mind because it adds interest without looking like I tried too hard to get a perfect match. I could throw on my black moto jacket and be date night ready! For a more casual look, this would work with flats or tennies and a denim jacket.
Saturday we started the day with a basketball game for my younger son. Later that day, we sat in the rain for my older son’s baseball game. They called the game in the second inning because it was getting pretty wet out there. Not ten minutes, later the sun came out and it didn’t rain again for several hours. Figures. 😉 I hope your week is off to a great start!
