We took these photos at the end of the day, after I went on a field trip with my son’s first grade class. Apparently I should have paid better attention to the forecast and used a bit of sunscreen! My husband said I should edit out the sunburn but whatevs. I didn’t think it was too noticeable in the photos, particularly compared to my extremely pale legs. Ha! I’m just glad that summer is finally here! For a couple of days. Thursday, the last day of school, is supposed to be 71 and partly cloudy. Umm…
I got this cami in my last Trunk Club shipment. I love blue and I love flowers, so it was a no brainer. There are so many ways you could wear this floral cami. I’d planned to shoot this with white jeans, but decided to switch it up and go with shorts instead since the weather has (temporarily) warmed up. It would also be perfect with slacks and a blazer for work, or with my MM.LaFleur jardigan and skirt from this post. Unfortunately I waited too long to write about this cami and the exact one is sold out, but there are other fun floral options linked below.
I feel the same way about designer denim shorts as I do about jeans. They are worth the investment, especially if you wear them daily like I do. I recommend Nordstrom Rack for picking up designer denim at a fraction of the cost. I will say, though, that I’ve been hearing great things about some lower priced denim brands, and I’d like to try a few out and let you know what I think.
These sandals are great because they are flat but not boring. I loved the studded detail and the modified gladiator style. Because the straps are thin and the color is light, they look feminine and pretty. I’m loving this year’s slightly different version!
My older son is finishing elementary school this week. Today I actually got emotional thinking that he has only two days left to wear his school uniform (the last day is free dress). And yes, I am fully aware of how ridiculous that is. 😉 Thankfully I have the whole summer to pretend that none of this is actually happening and that he’ll be in elementary school forever. That will work, right?!
