When I was getting to know my Trunk Club stylist, I told her I’d never met a stripe I didn’t like. Not surprisingly, she sent this cute boatneck striped t shirt in my first trunk. She sent a few other items to put together an outfit, and it turned out that I already owned many similar pieces, including this field jacket from Old Navy.
I waited a long time before jumping on board with the field jacket trend, mostly because I couldn’t find one that I liked. Also, most field jackets are fairly thin and so they add a cute layer but not much warmth. When I found this field jacket at Old Navy, the price was right and I couldn’t pass it up! It comes in a ton of colors and is currently on sale for $25-30 depending on the color. I chose “hunter pines” because I like how it looks with denim, and it is different than any other jacket that I own.
My jeans are boyfriend style, which means they are more relaxed than a skinny jean but still slim and flattering. You can wear the jeans cuffed or uncuffed, which I like. I have these jeans in two washes and they are the most comfortable jeans that I own. These are the jeans I reach for when I travel because they are so soft and forgiving!
I got white Jack Purcell shoes in my trunk, which I was tempted to keep because they are so cute! They are the only tennies I wore for years and I miss them! However, they are too similar to my white Converse Shorelines, so they had to go back. Can you tell I have a Converse addiction?! I finished the look with a long gold necklace. When Stella & Dot released this necklace, my friend and I joked that it looks like a lifeguard whistle, so I suppose it goes well with the nautical looking shirt! Ha.
This outfit is perfect for running errands during the week or watching the kids play sports on the weekend. It’s been too cold here this week for me to wear this outfit though. We are heading to warmer temps this weekend, so perhaps I should bring it along! Happy Wednesday!
