I don’t know about you, but the cooler evening temps are giving me all the fall feels. Of course, it was 90 degrees here last week, which means I’ve got awhile to go before I can wear the clothes I’ve invested in for fall. However, it’s bound to cool down eventually, right?! Today I’m sharing five fall fashion trends that I can’t wait to wear!
Menswear inspired blazers
This jacket may be menswear inspired, but it’s definitely soft enough for any woman to wear and love! This piece is great because it can be worn with jeans, as shown here, but it’s also totally work appropriate! You could pair it with a blouse and black slacks for a polished workwear look.
Because they are menswear inspired, many of the blazers I’m linking are longer in length and have a boxier cut. You may want to size down for a slimmer fit, depending on the blazer. I tried this one on during the Anniversary Sale and loved it too! Speaking of the Anniversary Sale, check out this post as many of my picks are on sale again, some at even lower prices! I’ll be doing a full sale roundup over the weekend.
Tweed
I saw this tweed skirt and almost wished I had an office job. Well, almost. The colors in this skirt just scream fall! The weight of the fabric is on the heavier side and the skirt is fully lined, so it will definitely keep you warm on a cool day.
Tweed is great because one, it’s plaid. Two, it’s typically made up of many colors, which means there are endless styling options! I think it would be darling with a chambray shirt for a more casual look.
And can we talk about the color of this top? I love the gorgeous shade that’s almost a mix between mustard and sunshine yellow. Yellow can be tricky with my skin tone, but I feel like this one works! I’m loving the orange shades (like this sweater!) for fall as well.
Snakeskin
When I walked in to Nordstrom to shop for fall, my plan was to buy leopard booties. I’d been eyeing some last year but never pulled the trigger. However, I got sidetracked by snakeskin and the leopard idea never came to fruition. Don’t worry though – I fully intend to embrace leopard in other ways, as you will see below. 😉
What I love about these booties is that the color palette is actually quite neutral, so they really will go with everything! Pattern mixing is also trending, so while I’m wearing this with a solid colored sweater, it would be so cute with a striped sweater like this one. I can’t say that I’m a fan of live snakes, but I’m all about the snakeskin trend for fall. I think this might be my favorite of the fall fashion trends I’m highlighting here, which is kind of hilarious since I didn’t even intend to jump on this particular bandwagon!
Printed midi skirts
See, I told you I wasn’t going to leave leopard out of the mix! I didn’t have any midi skirts in my closet until this year, but I’m really enjoying the versatility! Although you can’t go wrong with a solid, I’m obsessed with all the fun patterned midi skirts this fall.
My exact skirt is sold out unfortunately, but I’m linking a few of my favorites here!
Flare Jeans
I have honestly been so over flare jeans until I tried this pair on a few weeks ago. These are so good (and on sale)! Although I’m still team skinny jeans all the way, I forgot how flattering a wide leg can be. It makes your waist look so tiny!
This particular pair is crazy soft but I wish they were a bit longer on me. A heel works best with a flare jean as it helps elongate your legs. I wound up ordering this Frame pair to see if they are a bit longer so that I have more shoe options. If you aren’t 5’7″ or don’t have long legs like I do, I highly recommend this Good American pair that I’m wearing. So comfy. I’m linking plenty of other cute options too!
It pains me to say that it’s in the mid 90s here as I’m writing this. We had such a mild summer and of course now that school has started the temperature spiked. But it’s gotta be fall eventually, right?! I hope so, and you know I’ll be all over these five fall fashion trends!

Seriously LOVE each and every one of these! Can you send me the link for those camel colored peep-toe wedges in your second outfit? The one with the yellow blouse and adorable tweed skirt. I clicked on the link and it wasn’t working. And flare jeans are back!! SWOON!
