This striped romper for summer was an impulse purchase from the Anthropologie sale room at least two years ago. At the time, I thought, how does this count as clothes?! The fabric is so soft it feels like wearing pajamas, and putting together an outfit is foolproof because it’s all one piece! Since this particular romper is old, but the style is still trending, I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorite cute rompers for summer!
A romper is basically just a jumpsuit that has shorts instead of pants. You can see one casual jumpsuit that I styled here, and a dressier one here. I love the jumpsuit trend because it’s a simple way to look polished and put together. Rompers by nature are more casual since they are short, but that means they are the perfect everyday summer uniform!
Since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started for cardholders last week, I’ve been wrapped up in building my fall wardrobe. I’ve gotten a lot of cute pieces (you can see what I bought here) and I can’t wait to share some fall outfits with you soon. However, we are currently in Granada, Spain. The high each day is in the 90s, and we have plenty more warm weather waiting for us at home too! Bring on the cute rompers for summer!
I sometimes find a drawstring waist to be uncomfortable, but this one is not tight at all. It is easily adjustable, so you can cinch it in or wear it loose, depending on your preference. I’m wearing it with my Sam Edelman slides because one, I only brought three pairs of shoes on the trip and two, it’s hot. I will pair this romper with a denim jacket and my fave Converse Shoreline tennies to transition into fall.
Are you in favor of the romper trend?
