Similar to faux leather pants, it seems that chenille is another fabric that is making a comeback in recent years. It’s not hard to understand why! It is so soft and cozy, perfect for the cooler temperatures we’ve been having around here. I saw this cozy chenille sweater when I was shopping online at Nordstrom recently. I was drawn to the color, so I ordered it. There are three other colors available and it just got marked down to less than $30! There’s also a deep purple color that is still full price, but even at $49, it’s a good price for something so soft and cozy! I sized down based on what the reviews said. I normally wear a small but this is an extra small.
Paired with jeans and cute sneakers, this is an outfit that works perfectly for weekday or weekend life. Although I could dress the sweater up with different jeans and some accessories, I love the casual ease of jeans and my New Balance shoes. I purchased these shoes for a trip to Rome that we took earlier this year. I wanted something that could endure the 10 miles of daily walking (literally) but also look cute while I was walking. Mission accomplished, I think!
These jeans are new from Nordstrom as well. I’m on the fence about whether to keep them. The problem is that I rarely meet a pair of jeans I don’t like. You may have noticed that many of my jeans, especially the mid wash ones, are distressed with holes in the knees. I had a pair of AG The Stilt jeans that were not distressed, or at least they were not until I discovered a hole in the rear. Fail. I would like to replace those, so I ordered this pair when I saw them on sale. They are a similar wash and rise, but they have a raw hem. I’m not sure if I would prefer a finished hem at the bottom since I already have one raw hem pair, but man I do love the way these fit! I told you I had a problem…
This cute hat is a fun way to add lots of warmth without having to wear a jacket. I have been wearing it for school drop off on the chilly mornings and it does a great job of keeping me warm. I love the pom on the top for the extra flair. My ten year old told me I looked very “fashiony” the last time I wore the hat. That’s a compliment, right?!
What do you think? Should I keep the jeans or keep shopping?
