If you’ve learned anything about my style by now, it should be that jeans and a top is my favorite go to outfit. I love that the weather is finally starting to feel a bit more like fall and I can transition from tank tops and shorts to jeans and short sleeve shirts. I love this blue and ivory embroidered top because it’s a step up from a basic tee, so it could be dressy or casual, depending on how you style it. Paired with jeans and wedge sandals, it’s the perfect outfit for the transition to fall!
Two of the three shirts that I photographed today were blue and white. My husband pointed out that perhaps I should branch out a little bit. Ha! I just posted this blue and white striped button up shirt in my insta feed, so perhaps the colors were fresh in his mind. 😉 This blue and ivory embroidered blouse, however, is a completely different look! I love the contrast of the navy blue with the ivory, and the embroidery is pretty and interesting. I picked it up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and am happy to report that it’s on sale again! At $41, it’s actually $5 less now than I paid during the sale.
This blue and ivory embroidered top could take you from work to weekend, no problem. Paired with a blue pencil skirt and heels, this top would be perfect for the office. My MM.LaFleur pencil skirt from this post would be a gorgeous addition to this outfit! Today, I chose jeans and wedges for the transitional weather we’ve been having. On a cooler day, I’d choose booties and layer a sweater or cargo jacket over the top.
My dad came to visit this weekend and we’ve had a fun, productive time together. He helped me shop for a new media console and then was able to watch the boys while my husband and I drove to Millbrae to pick it up on Saturday. Remember how I mentioned getting a new couch? That seemingly was the start of a whole new look for the living room – funny how that works!
I hope you had a restful long weekend and feel energized for the (short) week ahead!
