When I worked, I occasionally had to wear suits, so I associated blazers with practicing law. However, it turns out that a blazer is so much more versatile than I thought, especially in a neutral color like black. I photographed this black blazer with flats which works for pretty much anything – a lunch out, running errands, a meeting, etc. Switch out the flats for heels and I’m ready for a dinner date. Put on Converse instead and I could wear this to school pick up. I’m loving how many ways I can wear this black blazer!
This blazer is several years old, but the benefit to purchasing a classic wardrobe staple such as a black blazer is that it is wearable for many years. I like the ruched three quarter sleeve. The ruching is a fun detail that makes me feel less like I’m ready for work, though this would definitely be work appropriate for those of you working outside the home.
I picked up this graphic tee shirt from the Anthropologie winter tag sale. Currently all sale styles are an additional 40% off which is a great deal! You can shop the sale here. I adore a good graphic tee and this shirt is no exception. The color is beautiful and I like what it says. My kids are learning Spanish at school, and they have a fascination with language in general. We had a French babysitter who taught them a few words and now they like to walk around practicing their (very limited) French in addition to Spanish. I knew they would love this shirt when I saw it, and I was right!
The jeans are my trusty new AGs. I wasn’t kidding when I said they were my new favorites! They are perfect with these shoes because the length is short enough to show off the ankle strap. This look would also be great with white jeans as we head into spring. The outfit is finished with a gold cuff bracelet.
I am very happy for another four day week at school. We are easing back into the routine, and the next break will be here before we know it!
