I had whitening trays made years ago, but the process was expensive (thanks mom and dad!) and the trays no longer fit. Over the years, my teeth have become yellowed and I’ve been meaning to do something about it. Having my dentist make a new set of trays isn’t high on our priority list because of the cost. The Smile Brilliant at home teeth whitening kit comes with the tools necessary to make your own impressions, which you then send to the lab for your custom fitted trays to be made. Once the trays come back, the process is simple. You use the whitening gel for 45 minutes to 3 hours (depending on your sensitivity) every day or every other day. Follow with desensitizing gel, and then repeat the process until you are happy with the results! Most people need between 8 and 14 sessions to complete the process.
Now that I have the trays, it’s simple and affordable for me to order more whitening gel in the future if I want to do any touch ups. Given my obsession with coffee, touch ups are probably a good idea. 😉 Although my teeth weren’t horrible before (left picture), they are noticeably brighter and cleaner looking now (right picture).
