So obviously I took these pictures before I got my hair cut a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to be tricky and get ahead on photos before the holidays. I suppose this works better if you don’t cut your hair in the meantime! Ha. I am a big fan of the graphic t shirt trend, and this graphic sweater is no exception. I got this “love” graphic sweater from Gap a couple of years ago. This year’s version is linked below. My sweater is a wool blend, which means I can’t stand to wear it if any of the fabric touches my skin. It’s really annoying actually because so many cute sweaters have wool in them! Paired with a denim shirt, though, it works perfectly. The shirt I’m wearing is a nice lightweight material which makes it ideal for layering. Again, my exact shirt is sold out but there is a very similar one at Nordstrom currently. A soft plaid shirt from my favorite brand Rails would also be a cute layering option.
You may remember from my Stitch Fix review post that I requested and received a pair of cranberry colored jeans. I loved the color of the jeans my stylist sent, but the fit wasn’t the best and I decided to return them. Since then, I’ve been on the hunt for another pair that was longer and fit a bit better.
These True Religion jeans are from Nordstrom, and this is the first pair I’ve worn by that brand. My normal size was sold out, so I ordered one size up and they fit just fine around the waist. The length is great and in fact they are almost too long, especially with booties. I tried cuffing them, but the jeans aren’t perfectly skinny at the bottom and so the cuff looked awkward. I left the jeans bunched up at the top of the booties which was OK, but the overall look would probably be more polished with flats.
Can you see how the jeans are bunched up at the top of the shoe? I adore the color, but with all of the great sales right now, I think I will keep looking. That sounds like a perfectly valid excuse for some post-holiday shopping, right?!
