As you’ve probably noticed, social media is abuzz with Prime Day chatter. It can be overwhelming, truly! I noticed that my favorite sun hat is part of the sale, so I thought I would do a quick post with my top ten Prime Day picks. Every one of these products is either owned by me already or was purchased earlier today.
1. The perfect sun hat
In the interest of both protecting my skin and keeping the sun out of my face so that I can read by the pool (priorities, right??), I purchased the sun hat pictured above before our trip to Hawaii two years ago. My favorite feature is that it rolls up! This means it’s easy to pack and does not get crushed in your suitcase, thus retaining its shape perfectly. Although it’s not included in the sale, the swimsuit I’m wearing is less than $30, super flattering, and comes in tons of colors. Win.
2. Tie Dye Lounge Set
I’ve been eyeing the tie dye trend for a LONG time now, but haven’t jumped in. I thought that a lounge set would be the perfect way to commit and was excited to see this one as part of the sale! I love that you can get shorts as well as pants. Now to decide on a color….
3. Tie sleeve sweatshirt
This sweatshirt is really more of a light sweater material. It’s perfect alone or as a layering piece and the tie sleeve is a fun detail elevating this basic piece. I wore this a lot during this spring.
4. Mother Straight Leg Crop Jeans
These have been on my radar as a fun alternative to skinny jeans. I have two pairs of Mother jeans and I love the fit. They have just enough stretch but hold their shape well. They are selling fast, so I recommend checking out this similar pair of Levi’s too.
5. Free People Brookside Tunic
I love this sweater. It is so soft, so easy to wear, and long enough to wear with leggings. It comes in tons of beautiful colors. I found it to run large so I recommend sizing down. I’m wearing an extra small.
6. Pellet ice maker
Although our new home has not one but two refrigerators, neither of them has an ice maker! Now that the weather is warmer, I’m using more ice and I want the conveinece of an ice maker rather than an old fashioned tray. I know, I know. So high maintenance. Although we eventually plan to get a fridge with an ice maker or an under counter ice maker, I think we will end up using both since we have a kitchen as well as a wet bar.
7. Water Filtration System
The tap water where we live is horrible. Truly atrocious. Our last house had a reverse osmosis water filtration system installed by the prior owner. We loved it. As soon as we moved, I knew I had to have a similar system in the new house. This one is even better because it’s tankless. While the flow is a bit slower than our old system, it doesn’t take up much room under the sink and it never runs out because it filters water on demand! I highly recommend it.
8. Stemless Outdoor Wine Glasses
Our new home has a much larger yard than our previous one, and I look forward lots of entertaining there. We had an open house to celebrate the end of 8th grade for my older son, and I used these glasses for wine and sangria. Love that they are dishwasher safe!
9. Kindle Paperwhite
I love my iPad, but have you ever tried reading outside on yours? It doesn’t work. The glare is awful and even with the screen brightness all the way up, you can barely see it. Lately I’ve started using my son’s old Kindle for outdoor reading – I took it with me on my trip to Salt Lake last weekend. I still think I prefer reading an actual book, but you can’t beat the efficiency of ebooks on vacation, especially if you love to read! What I don’t like about the old Kindle I’m using is that it isn’t backlit like the Paperwhite, so I can’t read in bed. Time for an upgrade!
10. Self Tanning Mousse
Full confession. I haven’t actually tried this yet, although I do own it! Look at all those amazing reviews!!
I hope this round up of my top ten Prime Day picks was helpful. Prime Day will be over soon, but feel free to check out my Amazon Storefront periodically to see what I’ve recently purchased and am loving. What’s on your list?!
